Kirby Vacuum and Carpet Shampooer
I endured 4 hours of sales talk and vacuum demonstrations during which the young sales woman knocked my wooden valence off the window, broke my fan, and jumped on my antique fainting couch. Nevertheless, I traded her my $600+ Dyson for the Sentria when her manager, also at my home, brought the price under $1000 and threw in 2 free attachments that aren't included in the standard package.I have had the Sentria for 5 weeks. I now remember why I bought that Dyson. I hate bags! With 2 dogs in the house, bags fill up quickly. After 5 weeks, the bag is about 1/3 full and the Sentria has lost significant suction. Also, the bag stinks like dog, and the smell is 10 times worse when the vacuum is running. What made the Sentria attractive to me was the hose for the attachments. My biggest complaint about the Dyson was the spring coil hose. It was unmanageable and took a bit of strength to stretch it to its full length. This was a problem for me because I have neuropathy in my hands and arms. The Sentria's hose is much more flexible and stretches out easily. In retrospect, I wish I had kept my Dyson and either put up with its unmanageable hose or bought a 2nd cheap vacuum for attachment use. If you don't mind bags, the Kirby is a good vacuum though I think it's over priced even at the $970 price I paid.

With a wider cleaning path and fewer refills, Wide Track makes already easy carpet cleaning that much easier and quicker! With a capacity that's nearly 30% more than Mighty Pro and a 16% wider cleaning path you get faster cleaning with fewer refills. Wide Track offers the same great vacuum power, the same cleaning ability with the unique vibrating brush and the same one button simplicity. Machine packed with 12 ft. Upholstery Tool Attachment plus starter cleaning product.
~The Rug Doctor is not the most stylish carpet cleaner, but it definitely is a simple, strongly constructed work horse that gets the job done. You control the speed at which you pull it over your carpet, and I suggest you review the infomercial that shows the speed to pull it to get the best results. If you have a small apartment then you won't need the WIDE model, but if you have an above average size house you'll be glad you got the WIDE model. In addition to the instructions, I like to finish cleaning my carpet with a single clear hot water rinse to remove the cleaner residue. I do this since I think the small amount of cleaner residue tends to cause the carpet to re-soil itself faster. Also, on maintenance cleanings try and use a bit less than the suggested amount of cleaner added to the hot water. Use hot, not just warm water, and be sure to empty the collection tank the same day; otherwise, it will begin to smell really bad odors.Periodically, take the time to clean the brush since it can become clogged with animal hairs, etc. Better yet, use a Dyson vacuum first to clean up all the little fuss stuff, animal hairs, etc. - I use a Dyson DC18 Slim and it makes my Rug Doctor do a much better job.~Amazon's Rating Guide:1 star: I hate it2 stars: I don't like it3 stars: It's OK4 stars: I like it5 stars: I love it

Vapor steam cleaning uses true steam (285 degrees F for the WhiteWing) to sanitize, deep clean and deodorize in one easy operation without using cleaning chemicals. This is an attractive cleaning method for allergy sufferers or those who simply prefer fume-free cleaning. Dry steam kills dust mites, viruses, molds, and fungi instantly. A steam cleaner can help with difficult cleaning tasks such as floors, tile grout, upholstery, carpets, car detailing and more. This AllergyBuyersClub.com exclusive steam cleaner is made for home, residential use and comes with a closed circuit board that humidity or overfilling the tank cannot effect. The manufacturer in the commercial market has successfully sold the WhiteWing tools for 6 years. The informative control panel includes: power on & off button, steam release button, orange light low water indicator, green light steam ready indicator, pressure gauge. Let unit cool for 20 minutes before refilling boiler (allows time to take a cleaning break).…
I bought a White Wing Vapor Steam Cleaner a few months ago because I don't really like to clean. After reading up on vapor steam cleaners and this model in particular, it seemed that this was going to be a fast, effective way to clean most of the house. This machine comes with many more attachments than you would get with most of the other models I looked into, and the attachments are extremely sturdy and high quality. Nothing about this machine is flimsy. I love the idea of cleaning with no chemicals . . . you use only distilled water with a vapor steam cleaner. Very safe if, for instance, you have pets who lick water off the floor of the tub. You don't really want your pets lapping up harsh chemical cleaning agents. The White Wing does wonders on my floors. I have an old vinyl floor in my kitchen that has ALWAYS looked dirty since the day I bought the house. The White Wing picks up an amazing amount of dirt every time I clean the floor with it, and the floor actually looks clean since I started steam cleaning it. The same for my hard wood floors. I've also found that the steam cleaner picks up a surprising amount of dirt from the couch, love seat, and living room rug, even though I vacuum those areas a couple of times a week. The steam cleaner is definitely the easiest way to clean my barbecue grill and to detail my car . . . I steam clean the dash board and leather seats. (The instructional manual says not to use vapor steam on leather furniture in your home, but that it is…

132 of 135 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsExcellent Machine, November 14, 2006 By J.C. "researcher" (United States) - See all my reviewsI know alot of people would balk at the idea of paying this much for a vaccum cleaner, understandably so. Quite honestly, I spent a long time weighing my options and researching for this purchase. In the end I went with this one because of the quality, the warranty and how well it worked.Previously owned a Hoover Windtunnel upright, and there is just simple no comparison, in fact the Hoover is joke. It was a complete tank of a machine, hard to move around, attachments were useless and you could not fit into alot of areas. And in the end, it did was not even close to as effective at cleaning floors, which is really all that matters. The reasons for going with the Miele:How effectively it cleans floors! My carpets never looked so good, my hardwood and tile were never to easy to clean.Long-term investment. You might get sick of a Miele vacuum before it breaks on you.Technology inside is second to none.Tried and true design, German engineering and quality. The parts have a nice feel to them, thick plastics, horse-hair brushes. Nothing felt cheap, or loose or flimsy.Exceptionally quiet.Size of the machine is small, but make no mistake it is incredibly powerful. About the best feature I have noticed so far about this machine, going from an upright, is the ability to get into tight spaces I could not before.Controls…

I have owned my share of vacuums over the years. And like strollers, I kept trying to find the "one" that would be all I needed. I think I finally found it! About a month ago, I decided to put my Eureka Boss out to pasture and begin the search for a new vacuum. My FIL had a new Dyson vacuum that he seemed to like, so I started my research there. Boy, am I glad other reviewers recommended in their reviews to check out the Miele vacuums instead!I live in a four story Colonial (basement is "unfinished", but we have rugs down where the washing machine is) and our walk-up attic was just refinished with wall-to-wall carpeting. On the other two "main" floors, it's mostly hardwood/tile and area rugs. So, we have many different floor surfaces requiring different maintenance needs! The more I researched Miele, the more I knew a canister vacuum was for me. I couldn't fathom trying to carry a heavy upright up and down all the different levels in my house. I found a local appliance store that sold Mieles and went to look at them myself. We bought one soon after through Amazon. Here's what I like most about the Miele:1. The retractable cord. It's a pet-peeve of mine that more appliances don't have this feature! And although the cord isn't super long, it's enough to do a room (at least in my house) and then unplug it to do another room.2. The quietness. I just had a second baby and was worried about how I was going to keep the house clean with coordinating TWO nap…

*I love my Oreck Rinse-a-matic, but I broke it the other day. So I decided to try out a Rug Doctor to see if I should buy one. For upholstery it did a great job with minimal effort especially considering the number my son did on my couches. Plus I did both sides of 2 twin beds, a love seat, a couch, and a computer chair on one tank. As a carpet cleaner however, it did no better than the significantly cheaper Oreck (which can easily be dropped off at the local store to be repaired). The Rug Doc was ridiculously heavy, and hard to push with a short handle even for me, and I'm 5'2. Imagine the difficulty (not to mention the mess!) of repeatedly pouring one, and a half to two buckets of water to fill it, and then pouring it all out at the same time. The bulky design is hard to store, and maneuver, and is not the best idea for cleaning your whole house. My joints hurt from using it. I would certainly rent it again to clean my beds, chairs, etc., but I would not buy it.

Have my Miele for one year now and I am totally satisfied. It has worked without a hitch since the day I took it out of the box. Was the replacement of my former vertical Hoover, which had a strong suction power and was easy to use on floors, but was a pain to use for any other purposes. It was so poorly designed that it was useless for anything else but floor vacuum cleaning (and let me add a word about the poor plastic quality, that broke almost everytime I hit something).Got my Miele with the SEB 217-3 Direct Connect Powerbrush. Very light and maneuverable powerbrush that has excellent suction power. I use it for carpet as well as tiles. What I like the most about this device is that it does not scatter the dust (like the cat litter on the floor) everywhere, as the powerbrush of my Hoover did. Now, I get no more litter specks on my feet when I clean the cat litter area.As others said, the vacuum cleaner itself is light, very maneuverable (three 360' rotating wheels) and SO QUIET compare to my Hoover and yet, the suction power of the Miele is as good as the Hoover. Thanks to the HEPA filter, the air that comes out of the Miele is much, much cleaner than my Hoover. Dustbag is easy to change, the accessories compartment is easy to reach and the compartment lid stay closed when you clean (which was not the case on my Hoover!). The powercord unwinding and rewinding mechanism feels so strong that it seems almost unbreakable. Finally, the storage of the vacuum cleaner is made easy…

24 of 24 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsThis thing ROCKS!, February 10, 2008 By adiceguy "adiceguy" - See all my reviewsOk, I know - it's just a vacuum, but if you're like me and have gone through 4 or 5 other vacuums and have always been disappointed - I guarantee you: the Miele will not let you down. You can see online demonstrations of it's sealed canister system at YouTube, which for allergy sufferers or others concerned about vacuums that just recirculate the dirt, is of utmost importance. But beyond that, this is just one beautiful little machine. If you've shelled out hundreds for a Dyson only to be disappointed by it's flimsy plastic construction, you will be impressed by the Miele. Every piece is solid - especially the wand which is so sturdy and well crafted it feels more like a precision built part for a fighter jet than a part for a vacuum. The only downside to this sturdy construction is that it does make the wand a bit heavy, but I will take that over flimsy construction any day. I have had vacuums so loud you couldn't hear the phone ring if it was right next to you - this one is so amazingly quiet you'll think that it can't possibly have good suction, but it does! Quiet, powerful, with a sealed container, true HEPA filtration and a cloth bag (not paper) which self seals when you remove it from the canister as well as unbelievable construction make this vacuum worth every penny!

I didn't think a cheap, inexpensive, household extractor would do a good job, but I was wrong. It does a great job. The spinning brissles do the trick, they really spin fast. It scrubs stains out better than a washing machine can get stains out from clothing. My friend uses this thing for house cleaning and she has been told many times that she does a better job than the carpet cleaning companies around our area. Reviewers mentioned the exhause being a design flaw because it breathes into the carpet. It is not a flaw, the warm air assists in drying the carpet. The turbo paw is fairly well built, it doesn't spin as quickly as the main brissles but it does much better than just a regular scrubber. I think peoples' expectations of the turbo paw are set high after seeing the floor extractor in action. I thinks it's great esspecially for $225. Can't top it.ONE TIP: After shampooing, you may want to go over the carpet one final time to get any excess water from the carpet, turn your heater OFF. The heater draws from the 12 amp motor which steals power from the sucking mechanism.

I have used every jewelry cleaning apparatus known besides steam. There is absoutely no comparison. This steam cleaner is so much better than any ultrasonic cleaner out there! I cleaned multiple pieces with an ultrasonic cleaner before using this steam cleaner. The difference was astonishing, to say the least. I was amazed when comparing a piece that I had just cleaned with one of the most expensive ultrasonic cleaners (diamond earings)to the steamed cleaned piece. You will not be dissapointed. This product is worth every penny if you want your jewelery to look like it shoud. This machine takes a few minutes to heat up, but it is worth the wait. I would definately recommend this product if you want your jewelery to look its best!

Awesome vacuum. My wife and I referred to ourselves a vacuum killers, we would average about two vacuums a year. Cheap stuff, bought at Target, Walmart, etc. Our house is mostly carpet with some tiled rooms (kitchen, bathrooms). We also have two cats (tons of cat hair). We finally decided that when our third vacuum of the year died last year to invest in a high quality vacuum. After doing research online and in local stores we settled on the Meile. We are very, very happy. It works great, has a very long cord, does carpet and tile floors wonderfully, has all the attachments we need. I specifically like the telescoping attachment wand, don't have to bend over to vacuum against walls, between furniture, etc. We specifically bought it at an authorized dealer after reading reviews on Amazon that explained Miele wouldn't honor warrenties on machines purchased from non-authorized dealers.I would recommend it to anyone.

It has attachments to do all types of floors- carpets, Hardwood etc and also converts into a carpet cleaner so no more hiring the guy who shows up in the van and charges over $300 to do my house. Verry happy with this purchase and recommend it to others. A great value for the money. I have the Pet Plus model because I have a lot of carpet. My sister has mostly smooth floors so I got her the Basic model.

A 2 - in - 1 steam cleaner and vacuum! Can deodorize and sanitize multiple surfaces with high temperature steam, extract steam residue and vacuum. Includes full 24 - piece accessory kit to fit all your cleaning needs.
Do not buy it. It does not work well. Parts are falling apart. Stem flow is bad. Have to stop every 30 seconds and wait for the steam to get back. Impossible to move around even on a bare floor. Vacuum ( and cleaning it ) is the worth part of it is. Does not come with any filters replacements ( needs 3 different ones only had 1 )??? It does not worth 150 $ forget about 1500 $

his Rug Doctor Style Carpet Cleaner is a 'steam' carpet extractor for cleaning carpet, upholstery, vehicle, RV & boat interiors, plus more. This machine does NOT have a heater. It uses HOT tap water. I rented one from Home Depot. I had recently rented the Rug Doctor machine and am not sure which one cleans better. The Carpet Express I am quite sure has better suction. After going over an area 3 times it didn't feel any wetter than after the first time. Rug Doctor strongly recommends not going over an area more than twice. I did and the carpet got too wet.CE seems easier to handle that the RD. Pushing it around was less a problem than the RD. It has a rotary brush an opposed to the shaking or vibrating brush on RD. Not sure which brush style cleans better though. Carpet Express seems to remove dirt as well as the Rug Doctor but sucks up more moisture than RD leaving carpets drier. One negative thing, the CE instructions direct you to use the container that collects dirty water to also mix clean water and carpet cleaning detergent. That's like mopping the bathroom floor with a cleaning solution that's in the toilet stool. Not a good idea. Just use a clean bucket. The ideal may be to clean with Rug Doctor and suck up left over moisture with a Carpet Express. Not sure but I am leaning toward the CE as being better than the RD.I have used pro carpet cleaners and don't think they do a better job than renting a RD or CE. If you have the time and don't mind breaking a sweat by all means do it yourself.(Following reviews from another website)Carpet ExpressPros:* Extracted nearly all of the water we put into the carpet swatches.* Best suited for carpets that are exposed to moderate…
